General Intro:
Sometimes ppl call me Hakim, some called me Kiwi or Keewee, and while others called me Kim.
I am still in the mid-20s and I do freelance photography and and in the process of making photography a business and running it full time.

I don’t smoke and don’t drink. I like general sports and extreme sports.
Love to drive cars and I also love walking when places are close to each other or when parking is a pain in the butt sometimes.
I love the rain and I also love the sun and winter (Malaysia doesn’t have winter because it is a tropical country and has a lot of coconut trees, in case you don’t know)
I love my gadgets especially my camera.
Personal Intro:
Born in Penang, grew up in Penang until I’m 21 years old before moving to the nation capital of Kuala Lumpur for good.
Keewee as a Photographer:
Started doing photography at the age of 23. Self learned and took classes from renowned professional photographers such as
- Shamsul Kamal from ASFON,
- Din Arshad and Associates,
- Azam Neurmaya, and
- Bustamam Mokhtar from White Studio.
Done several photography jobs covering public and private events, performing arts and stage shows.
Other photography specialization are portraiture, sports, fashion and glamour.
I have a thing with close up shots. It actually something I’m very good at.
Hobbies and Sports:
I used to play a lot of sports when I was younger. Was really active, especially in college times. When I was still pursuing my studies in Penang, I was taught to play table tennis (Ping Pong) by close friends. The more hours I play the game, the more natural I become at getting skills and hitting styles.
After that, I got myself into football (soccer). I played as goalkeeper for both futsal and field football teams. Represented KDU College Penang Campus at the time. Prior to finishing my studies there, before moving to KL for good, I stopped playing football and never will take part in any game. I have my fair share of nasty injuries from playing the role of a goalkeeper. It takes a lot of insanity to become one. Being insane is what keeps the goal empty at all times and through out the game…Lesson learned.
After moving to KL, pursued my degree studies in KDU College PJ campus, PJ, I found some friends to play table tennis with. Although friends in college don’t last very long, they studied and then they graduate. So the vibe isn’t as fun as in Penang, people will never get tired of doing anything. But in KL, they gave up easily, and then they either go dating or just hanging out at a Mamak stall (gone for a drink and supper at a stall).
When ping pong started to go dry, I joined a rock climbing club in college. THIS was the moment where my life changed and transformed. Through rock climbing, I’ve made several new friends, whom I thought that it was hard to make friends in KL, especially for hardcore Penangite such as myself. So then I was active in climbing till I bought myself the harness, chalk bag, branded chalk powder (for gripping) and climbing shoes. It was theee most expensive investment I’ve ever made.
2 years after i graduated, I found a Capoeira group in Bangsar. Recommended by a friend who does climbing (through Facebook). I have been involved in Capoeira since 2004 and that was just 4 weeks training with an instructor I barely know and then I had to go back to Penang for study. Now, joined a new group, a well established Capoeira group in Malaysia, affiliated with several other Capoeira groups throughout the country. The training were great, fun and easy to follow. The instructor can barely speaks English, but what matters is that he’s Brazilian, we need a real Brazilian to teach a Brazilian martial arts.
Till now, I’m still practicing Capoeira wth Escola Brasiliera de Capoeira Malaysia (EBC). No other sport in the world could match the intensity and athleticism of the Capoeira. Because in Brazil, Capoeira is their national sport.
